Motor is in its home, tranny is in. Next is to make a crossmember then mount the t case.

I gutted the core support for radiator clearance, should have lots of room. Just need to figure out what radiator I am gonna use.

Not sure yet, haven't messed with it, but I am planning on it.

With plenty of room. This motor sits lower than the 4.0.

Made some progress today, fabbed a new crossmemeber. INstead of using a tranny mount I used a couple bushings at the frame. I had some shock tabs laying around and so tube so I got building. Heres the crossmember

Then after that I finished all my welding on the front axle, moved my bump stops so they do something, started building anti wrap bar, put my 35 spline spicer shafts on with new U joints and tacked the caps, then I put the knuckles on......wont be long till it is a roller.

Next I am gonna finish the radiator, maybe work on exhaust, then maybe some drive shafts and steering. Debating if I am gonna rework my rear frame now and add my fuel cell or wait and do it when I feel like it.

I am ready to go wheel, tired of building already lol

are you running full circle clips on your axle joints?

I have em but did feel like machining out the inside of the shafts so they fit. I just put a healthy tack on them all, with the stock clip I think I will be alright....what do you think?

Worked for me. I have found running full circle clips on non-chromo shafts eggs the hole by allowing the cap to spin, eventually making a very loose fit on the cap.

i have done both. i have found that its alot easier to change them or work on them on the trail. i would weld them if i did not have any clips and was in a hurry. i have cut out the shafts to take the full circle clips with cut off wheel, or sawzaw it does not take that long and for easiness later i would take the time now while your not wheeling or dont have plans to in the near future.
what shafts and what joints are you running?

He has stock inners, dana 70 35 spline stubs and the non-greasable spicer joints. I believe.

Yup, that is what I have

As far as putting the clips in, I already welded the caps, and I would have anyway, but when I break something I will upgrade and use them then.

Well, I guess I have a couple pictures
My new yokes, 1310 for the 60 and a 1350 for the 205

The truck is a roller, sitting on bumps in the front.

Thinking about moving my lower stock mounts out to the c's, anyone have any input on welding to the 87,60 king pin c?
