I will shave it. Even thought about getting the shave kit from ballistic, but coudn't see spending the extra cash and then needing shaved gears too.

I will look at your sunday too.

I didn't shave mine to the point of the ring gear in the way, but close lol. Wheeling with it stock vs shaved made a huge difference.

Kyle- I have everything you need as far as a 14 bolt goes except the shave kit for less than you'll spend to build your own.... well maybe....

What's everyones feelings in a front locker, what are you using, what should I use?

I am thinking about getting the Yukon grizzly but it is pricey.

Lock right for $360, grizzly for $545 or weld it? The grizzly looked beef and the locking gears were stout.

Lock right here. I have grenaded 3 stub shafts and have had no breakage with the locker. But after 3 years of abuse it is showing some wear.

Typically lockrights will survive shaft breakage, detriots typically break when shafts break. Yukon grizzly is just another lunch box locker isn't it?

There's a few tech threads discussing d60 lockers. Whiterhino had a good thread with info in it.

Same style. Not the same product. After Seeing a Detroit and a grizzly side by side in the shop today, even I could tell the difference.

Lockrites are cheaper. Grizzly should last longer. But my broke ass is welded, so what do I know.

This. Just weld the spider gears together, then if you want you can cut them out and put a lunch box style in it later.

Little update since we are talking about it...

I ordered my gears today, 5.38's and picked up a set of Rocksolid Performance 35 spline drive stugs and their fancy covers, great price by the way! John and Robert are a couple great guys to deal with over there, hope to do more business with them. I will get some pictures up later.

I also rechecked my order with ruffstuff since I didn't get an email (Brandon) and I told them to just send me some limit straps and the yoke guard. Not sure if they will come together, but they are on their way...you owe me! lol
