While it's running? And just the lines that go-to the ram?

may need to drive it some to get the rest of the air out, or maybe a smaller power steering pump pulley to spin the pump faster

Wouldn't it need to be a bigger pulley since it is a driven pulley? The belt speed stays the same, a larger pulley will spin faster won't it?

the pulley on mine is smaller than the stock one and it turns better at an idle than it did with the stock pulley. mine would steer a little hard at idle until i touched the gas to bring it just off idle and then it would work good. mine also is 4.25 turns lock to lock so it is a little slower than yours.

Sounds like air....mine was a bitch to bleed, i ended up just taking mine for a shake down run and it eventually bled its self out over the course of the day

Nope. Smaller = faster.

Ok, cracked the lines and got some air out of the ram, locked to lock not running like 20 times, lock to lock running 30 times, all seems to be good. Still might go with a smaller pulley (Ok, Ok, you guys are right) gonna run it next weekend and see how it works.

Still feels weird being able to steer so easy

Ok, hydro worked great last weekend, truck took a beating and still drove on the trailer. Only issue I had is the hydro line fitting came in contact with the oil pan a couple times and tweaked it and made it leak pretty bad but I was able to tighten it and keep going.

So Ok, in the next month or so I'm 4 linking the rear, need to decide on springs. Also gonna truss the front axle and do a 3 or 4 link. The front frame is in need of repair so I think I will cut it off and rebuild it for more clearance and strength. Thinkingof moving my motor up and back for mmore axle room, but the will involve floor and firewall removal and modification, still on the fence about that. The rear will get cut off in front of the axle and some tube work will replace the factory frame.

I'm also picking up a parts ranger this weekend for the body parts, so ill have parts for sale if anyone needs anything. 4.0, auto, 4x4, regular cab.
