Ooops



Descion time. I have a doubler to put in my truck which means I need to make a new rear drive shaft, but the problem is I have a wheeling trip planned in about a month. I know I can get it put together in that amount of time, I just don't know if I wanna do a shake down on my trip. So should I do the doubler now and hope all works out or should I just repair the shaft, then have it shortened when I am fully ready to put the doubler in??

It will cost about 1 bill to do the shaft.

My only issue with the doubler right now is the intermediate shaft.....I gotta get going on it. Then I have to rework my RA crossmember and make shifter linkages....we will see, I am gonna 'make' a shaft for my current set up and then if I finish the doubler, I will have one made fore that. Just gotta find the time time and determination to do it all! Feels like all I have been doing for the last 6 months is working on this thing!

can you just buy a stock ranger shaft? out of a newer model with a 1 piece like mine. get that, shorten it and run that until your fully ready for the doubler. that way you save money and time.

That is what I have now. I don't think I could do that very cheap. I am going to take my stock shaft and make one work out of that on the cheap.
