So can I take your ex to jeep night? I promise I'll be nice....

Side not, just build related stuff...

I pulled the axle apart, and it's a mess. A combination of things went wrong. My locker quit working about a month ago, so we 'fixed' it by welding angle iron to the carrier and having part of the angle stuck in between the locker keeping it apart and from ratcheting. Worked good for the most part. Then this last weekend my pinion bearings went bad, allowing my pinion to move around and rub on the angle iron, which made it break off and run thru the gears. Good part, the bearings were bad so there was room for it to pass and not damage the gears.

So to fix it I will replace the bearings, and install the spiders and weld them until I get a grizzly.

I think the angle came off and tried to pass through the pinion and ring gear causing the bearing to fail...thats my thoughts anyways .

Get this pig back together for the club comp......

Maybe we can get a group buy on the grizzlies . Nothing wrong with my spartan but I wanna change it out to.

Only reason I think different is because I noticed the pinion was loose and making noise on our way to the bump and hustle.

Could be that way too, who knows. I'll have it all fixed up this week. Gotta change leaf springs too, mine are all messed up.

All fixed and ready to go, for now. Front is welded spiders now and new pinion bearings and seals.

Also, I put on shorter rear leafs to replace my destroyed leafs... No more shackle hanging way out

No problems yet with the shackles

Got a new 13.5" led light bar

Then I modded my door hinges so I don't need to pull pins any more. I cut the top of the hinge off the cab, then welded a bolt into the door so it just drops in like a jeep door.

I did that because I got a set of tube doors I'm gonna put on and need a quick way of swapping them... Works pretty well!
