New project... not that I need one. Heathkit Boonie Bike

Lets see how many years this one takes me

It had an engine last I saw this, but someone scammed it out and we couldn't find it on the farm.

Needs a front frame repair to start. Then I have to figure out what I can fit for an engine.

I have one of those. I pulled the original engine and used a 6.5 Predator engine from Harbor freight. I love mine.

Pictures of how well it fits in there? I used to ride this one as a kid at my aunt and uncles farm. Last I knew it was in one piece and complete rideable condition.

The chain guard is still there someplace my uncle is keeping an eye out for it.

I have always wanted to find one and stick an 18-20 horse briggs/honda v-twin on it. Looks like you've got the start of a cool project!

The HF engine fits like a glove. You can reach everything. I need to open up my main jet a little. It chokes out on top speed runs. Does 42-43 while choking out.

Very quiet torquey engine that always starts even with a half assed pull.

Did you keep the jackshaft or switch to a torque convertor? Also what clutch?

It still has the jackshaft now, but I'm eliminating it. It's worn out, and someone welded it on. I think the clutch is a max-torque or something. Supposed to be a good one.

It's buried right now so I can't get a current picture at the moment.

I grew up riding one of those... My buddy had one and we used to spin cow-shit all over the back field with it...
