I went to Harbor Steel and Supply paid $36.00 a piece for sched. 40 structural 1.25" today.

So has it gone down quite a bit then? I think my last 20+' was $85 or something like that.

I'd hope so, because I paid a little less than that for a stick of 1.75x1.20 DOM a few months ago. That would shoot down the budget aspect of using pipe.

what is the pipe going for now days. any one bought any lately?


im guessing it wouldnt be strong enough to use for a truss setup for a 4 link?

no. 1.75x.120 DOM supported to the diff cover is barely enough. One tube over the top without support is going to fail.

Buy DOM for critical areas, it's not much more.
