Default speedo question

I just picked up a 99 e-150 and the speedo and all the gauges dont work, but the lights work when you turn the headlights on.

I checked all the fuses that relate to it and they are good, but show no power going to them.

could the the whole cluster be bad?

Other then that everything works and it runs great

Well i check all the fuse and they are good, The lights come on and the blinkers work.

Could there be a bad connection on the back of the cluster?

I am lost on this one

I would suggest you pull the cluster and check the connections. I would also suggest you pull up a wiring diagram and check the power AND grounds for the gage functions. Ford cluster failures are not real common.

Thanks

I am lost because when i pull the fuses for the cluster they are good, but there is no power getting to the fuse block for that fuse.

I went to ford and got the wiring diagram and it is like reading a map that leads to now where. it shows fusible links for the power cluster, and i want to check them but doesnt show where they are.

I think i will pull the cluster and take a look see.

Well I replaced the ignition switch and now im getting power to the fuse that goes to the cluster, but none of the gauges are still working.

I took the cluster out and test the 3 harnesses and they are getting power, so could the cluster be bad?

any way of testing it?
