Put a plan on paper on what needs to be done and then do at least one thing each week.

You will feel better about accomplishing things on it that it will become an addiction.

This helps me get through a stale period for my projects. Which today is the start of getting back on the many I have.

Get to it!

If it were a stale period I'd agree, but I've got big steps to make and look forward to doing it. It's not a lack of motivation like I've run into in the past, just too much other stuff that takes priority.

So make it smaller. Sell the axles wheels and tires, pick up some 35s, hpd30, and 8.8. Buy some good shafts for the front and finish it. You can always go bigger when you have more time.

Nah I'll finish it like it is. I'll be happy with it this size, I just wish I had given myself less work to get it there. I've discovered I get bored too easily and while I have the skills for the big projects, I don't have the focus....need to keep em shorter and simpler I guess. I already have the axles under it, and swapping/downsizing would give me even more work to do at this point so I just need to push forward. I do have an 8.8 I need to sell to help fund parts for this though.

At least some of it is stuff I actually WANT to do to the house too. A lot of the projects in the past year have involved a total overhaul of the garage to turn it into the workshop I want, so at least that's outta the way.

Dont go smaller!! Your already there. dana 30's suck... Finally got rid of all the ones I had owned under Jeeps. There ticking time bombs. 40" tires seem like the new 35 plus you already have the tires and axles.... Im actually surprised how easy my 4.0L spins 40's with 5.38's. Although the extra drag of the sand at the dunes takes it out on the motor but its still plenty doable.... Would love to see this thing in action Sean. Giggity git it done!

As I said, I won't be downsizing this. If I were to do that I'd just sell off all the parts and start with a fresh Jeep.
I'm hoping the high mileage 4.0L will do the job for a while with 40s and 5.13s. I imagine it'll be tolerable. I'd love to do a 5.3 or 6.0 swap sometime down the road, but I think realistically it'll probably just be a 4.6 stroker since I already have half the parts and it costs like 1/4 as much. For now I just want it driveable and power upgrades can wait.

That is a reasonable excuse.

I really wish I had decided I wanted to work in the garage before filing it with all sorts of random shit and tripping hazards.

Trade ya 37" creepys for the mtr's. That way you can proceed and finish it because it will be "smaller".

I never claimed I'd be more able to finish if it were smaller, just that I wish I had built a smaller, simpler rig because it would've easily been completed before now. Something less complex that would've been a quick build.

I will however consider the Creepys. More details please. Condition, tread compound, etc. I like the 40s but wouldn't mind something more street able and easier on parts.
