Default Guess that rim! Need to ID a stolen set

Hi, and thanks for viewing!
My name is Dan, and I live in Fort Collins Colorado. My problem is I was robbed outside of city limits, and unless I can come up with a better description (something they can easily search for in the Leads Online database) they won't investigate my case.
These rims were on my 77 Chevy Blazer, and I haven't had any luck at all trying to figure out what type they are so the police can really get into the case.
If you could include a source of any kind that I can give them to demonstrate the similarities between the rims I own and your best guess at what they might be, that'd be even better.
Thanks a ton!
-Dan

lol yes fortunately that photo is only 3 weeks old, doesn't get alot more current than that :)
The wasps had built it directly above where it is in the photo on the top of the wheel well, and apparently it was too large and broke off roughly in half, so they just coned off the top of it and lived in both.
If it wasn't for those wasps, my best photo would be a fullsize photo that doesn't get close to them at all.
The wasp migration around outer Fort Collins is pretty impressive if you happen to notice them. My little brother called me to the back of the shop all freaked out one day by the millions of little black things everywhere on the grass, rocks, fences, and out about 50 feet into the field. Once I realized they were shadows we realized a huge swarm of them were everywhere about 10 feet from us, from one side of the shop to the other in a huge cloud. They moved away from us east toward the mountain, but there were so many you could see them move all the way across the field (which is part of a cemetary) to the trees around the plots.
Currently my girlfriend also has a nasty wasp infested tree on the side of her house. It's about 4 stories tall I think, and if you walk near it and shine a light in the dark almost every leaf has at least 1 wasp on it.
The problem at my girlfriends house may have fixed itself now that we've been getting frosty nights and even a snow storm yesterday, hopefully next summer will turn out better :)

Chance of the cops finding it is very slim to now but worth a shot

I sure hope so too. The local pawn shops and scrapyards sound really eager to help, I really wish the sheriff's office were as interested as they are. I'm putting ads on craigslist and the paper with the photo offering a $400 dollar reward for the name of the person who has them and their address, so on the up side hopefully I'll find them before the police do.

I've written them an email to see if they can confirm the rim is their make by the photo, once I get that hopefully the cops will step in and at least monitor the pawn shops.

I bought the dang tires to move from Casper Wyoming to Fort Collins, but my truck broke down in Laramie and then again in Fort Collins, and its just sat ever since. I literally had around 700 miles at most on the tires they stole.

Thanks a ton for your help, I really don't know squat about aftermarket wheels but since half the links I saw while looking up the information pointed to Great Lakes 4x4 I figured it was worth a shot :)

They definitely could, but it looks like 5 letters to me and I know jack about car wheels so I based my guess on just what I thought it says and got search results on enkei as a rim company

The closest I've found are the sawblade Enkei, but even those aren't perfect. I think they're steel rims rather than chrome, but I don't know. They've just never really looked 'chrome' to me.
The Enkei Sawblade photo I found has a different aperture. The blade part in the rim goes to a complete point, but the ones on mine don't have a point on the small end, they kindof blunt off

Last edited by danshu15; October 27th, 2010 at 08:12 PM. Reason: fixed word 'point' from incorrect typo 'pound'

here's an enkei rim, the logo looks quite similar to me, but still not a bit of luck finding someone to contact at Enkei or looking for older rims

The lug pattern has nothing to do with the rim style. You can order them in many different bolt patterns. There are different companies that make the same style rim.also the center cap doesn't always indicate the brand of wheel due to being interchangeable.
