They make them in 3" also

I'll have to dig up the part number, that might be the wrong pic with that ad. The Rancho springs on the 5 have full wraps on the main & 2nd spring, at both ends.

Default Rancho Springs

I put the Rancho 2 1/2" lift on my 3A. The individual part numbers in 2003 were:
RS44020 Front Springs (order 2)
RS714 Front U bolt kit (order 1)
RS44120 Rear Springs (Order 2)
RS711 Rear U bolt kit (order 1)
RS6636 Shackle Kit (Order 2)
RS5119 Front Shocks (Order 2)
RS5113 Rear Shocks (Order 2)

It sits nice and once I loosened the shackle bolts a little, the flex is pretty decent. I don't have incline numbers, but having finally gotten it together and I am happy with it on the trails. I may be able to find a picture with more flex, but this will have to do for now.

If that's 125' I may have a couple used swaged end spares around here, or now's a good time to add a safety thimble to what's left of yours.

According to the spec on the winch it was 94' total, and it broke almost right in the middle.

Have a write up anywhere on repairing one? Whatever I do I want it to be safe. I plan to go rope eventually.

I am hoping the motor is ok... it didn't seem to be screaming at me, and I was doing short pulls. It wasn't real hot, but I saw smoke or something coming out of it when I was spooling it in.

There's no fixin' steel cable unless it's just the end loop that broke. I'll check the barn for a spare, I can chop saw off the extra if need be.

Thanks, The cable worked great!

The original heater seems to work great, stayed warm in it today while spooling in the cable with Adam.

We also added a couple electric heaters, and I found out my temp gauge had quit working when steam started shooting out the overflow when I had the fan off trying to warm the damn thing up, it never heated up in extreme cold, but That must have been before I had a thermostat in it. I have not driven it much in the last year to know the gauge broke. I hope I didn't overheat it too bad, but steam is never a good thing.

Going to grab the propane heater too and hope we stay toasty warm this year.

Adam trimmed the rear quarters, and we discovered a broken axle joint last minute... all in all I think it is ready for Snowfari

Awesome build! I'm rebuilding one now but using a '74 frame, axles, fuel tank. Its got a Ford 2300/T90/Spicer 18. I'll have to change out to a Dana 20 for the '74 axle. I picked up a 225/3 spd/Dana 18 but the motor is siezed up.
