Threw some more caster at it (to 7 from 4), and switched to a shorter pitman arm last night. I'll build a longer draglink tonight and take it for another drive. I had to change out one of my rubber brakelines as It got crushed somewhere along its journey. All buttoned up now tho.

Rear axle is making noise when I let off the throttle from 30mph+, I'm thinking I didn't get the pinion nut tight enough, or I need another shim or 2 under the pinion support. Noise goes away as soon as I tip into it, kinda wierd.

Yes Nick it was yours, but I had gone thru it with a very reputable trans builder and threw all the good parts at it. It hasn't really even been used yet, just test drives trying to sort out the steering and such. 1-2 shift felt soft, then all shifts felt soft, now a 10 mile run down the highway netted trans temps of 290* and AFT EVERY-FRICKIN-WHERE and I can make it slip with a strong tip-in. Its coming out.

Did you have the tv cable set properly? It sounds like you didn't have enough throttle pressure which will burn up a 700r4 quick.

Was this the source of your driveline problem, or just one more added to the list?

Seperate issue. Driveline noise was a bad carrier straddle bearing in the housing I used.
