Jim I checked this ol' thread to see progress on the build after a few months and nothing- any updates or good wheeling pics with the new motor?

Well to be honest there really hasn't been a whole lot to update on. The Jeep ran great all week at SL this summer and somehow i even managed to keep the new tires 38.5 TSL SX's from grenading the the front axle (Dana 30)

Recently built a set of tube fenders for it and now I'm in the middle of making some custom inner fenders for them. I apologize in advanced for the horrendous images. I have some better ones on my regular camera that I will post up when I finish.

Using 1/2" OD x .065" tubing for the main frame of the inner fenders and then 18ga sheet metal to fill it in. So far I'm really pleased with how they are turning out.

Well finally got some other projects finished around the house so now I should have more time to dedicate to the Jepe. I had some time off between Christmas and New Years so decided to complete the front fenders I have been working on. Also painted/installed a grill I picked up a while ago. Planning on dropping off the fenders to be powder coated tomorrow. Pretty happy with how they turned out. Next photos I will post will be once I get them back and installed in a couple weeks.

Thanks for the compliments on the Fenders! They took a lot longer to build than I originally thought they would take that's for sure. This morning on my way into work I ran them over to Bill @ QC Coatings was told they are running a bit behind at the moment so I probably wont see them for a couple weeks. I'll post some pics when I get them installed.

Picked up the fenders Friday and they turned out great! I'll post some pics once I get them installed. For now a picture of them on the work bench will have to do

Extremely happy with how the fenders turned out. Bill @ QC Coatings is a great guy to deal with. Now if only the rest of the jeep looked half as nice as the fenders do!
