I have a sending unit that I just pulled out of a 94 front tank, (but it was a gas rig) you can have it if it will work for you.

I't pretty easy, just remove the actual fuel pump from the sender, then use a piece of neoprene hose in place of the fuel pump, that's it.

Just pull the pump off? And the gauge will read full or empty?

Lookd on rockauto.com and can not find the fuel sending unit. Don't know where else I can look. Willing to buy used and have rebuilt if I need to at Bob's Speedometer. Hopefully someone has a suggestion. Thanks for all the help so far.

I don't know who has that info out on the web but it is faulty. All of those Motorcraft numbers are for gas engine applications.

The numbers you need are:
F6TZ-9275-CA (sender)
F4PZ-9A213-AA (revised harness for sender)
F6TZ-9002-N (tank)

They are available through Ford but, even with the 30% GL4x4 discount the price is high...

Not sure where you are, but the Pick N Pull side of eagle auto parts in Three Rivers has a 6.9 truck with a front tank...I don't have time to pull it otherwise I would and sell it to you.

Edit: I'm going there this weekend or next to pull the hydroboost brakes, and hubs/rotors/calipers off it, so I will know for sure if it is still there.
