Default 1 Ton Scrambler Project---Lots of bling parts

I need money to put towards a house and other higher priority items so Iím trying to get rid of my project. There hasnít been much interest in it whole so Iím considering parting it out. If there is enough SERIOUS interest in most of the major parts then Iíll start selling them off. Most of it is either brand new or near new. Not looking to get rich here, just donít wanna lose my ass on the thing. I also built a ton of this stuff myself and my labor is WAY cheaper than a shop and I think prices reflect that.

A few pics of whatís there:

Build thread:
Project Scrambled - Great Lakes 4x4. The largest offroad forum in the Midwest

If you want more pics of anything specific let me know and Iíll post them.

Hereís some of the major stuff I can think of at the moment:
Very clean 1984 Scrambler tub and clean 1982 title: $1000 obo The center of the floor is cut up to clear the t-case and the rear wheelwells are in the process of being enlarged but both are easy to finish and itís priced accordingly. Itís rare to find an original tub in this condition.

Custom frame made with 2x4 and 2x3 .120 wall box tubing with beefy tow points, winch mount, hitch, crossmembers, bumpers, etc. Beefy cage tie-ins instead of body mounts but factory style mounts could easily be added. Very well built with reinforcement at all joints. Set up for 4 link front and rear, easily adaptable to other setups: $1000 obo

1988 Ford HP60 front axle. Stock internals in good shape(open with 4.10s), new Reid/Dedenbear outer knuckles, fully rebuilt SRW hubs with all new bearings and seals, new brakes, everything cleaned up, PartsMike springless hi-steer arms, stock shafts with non-neckdown 35 spline inners and 30 spline outters, new Spicer u-joints, trussed and set up for triangulated 4 link and coilovers. $2000 obo
Available extras:
New 35 spline 4340 alloy stubs and new Warn 35 spline lockouts available for $400 obo
New Ruffstuff 3/8Ē diff cover for $100
Used thick cut 5.38s in great shape for $175

Mid 80s GM 14bolt full floater rear axle, stock internals(open with 4.10s), fully rebuilt SRW hubs with all new bearings and seals, disc brake conversion with all new parts, everything cleaned up, stock shafts in great shape, trussed and set up for triangulated 4 link and coilovers. $800 obo
Also available:
New Ruffstuff 3/8Ē diff cover for $100

2004 GM 6.0L out of Hummer H2, 10-15k miles, complete with all accessories, wiring, computer, extra parts, etc, etc. $1400
Also available:
Lots of Gen 3 performance parts Iíll list later

Magnacharger MP112 supercharger setup for Gen 3 smallblocks. Used but in great condition, off a Cadillac Escalade. Kit new is over $6k, I have about 75% of the parts and will sell for $2200.

1993ish 4L80E transmission rebuilt about 500 miles before I got it, complete from torque converter to output shaft. $500 obo

Brand new Stak Mini 3 Speed(nothing mini about this beast though), 1:1, 2.44:1, and 4.29:1 ratioís, drivers drop, 32 spline input and both outputs, 1350 front yoke, 1350 CV rear flange, triple stick shifters and boot, VSS on output, etc. Paid over $2700, willing to discuss reasonable offers.

18Ē travel 2.5Ē body SwayAWay remote resi coilovers, used but in great condition, set up for triple rate coils. Take your pick of springs ranging from 150-300 lb/in. $900 for the pair

16Ē travel 2.5Ē body SwayAWay remote resi coilovers, new(only used for mock-up), set up for dual rate coils. Take your pick of springs ranging from 150-300 lb/in. $900 for the pair

41x14.5R17 Super Swamper IROKs. I have 5 brand new tires, only use has been rolling around the garage. Paid $2000, asking $1600 obo

Custom beadlocks. Started with new 17x9 Cragar Soft 8s with 5Ē BS, now 17x10 with custom designed GreatLakeOffroad beadlock rings. Only use has been rolling around the garage. No leaks whatsoever. $700 obo

Custom rollcage. Almost entirely 1.75 .120 wall DOM with a few pieces of 1.75 .120 wall HREW for non-structural stuff. Lots of time into this, none like it out there. Set up for Scrambler but could EASILY be adapted to CJ, YJ, and maybe even TJ. $1000

I also have tons of stuff like suspension links, Johnny Joints, bushings, heims, suspension seats, 5 point camlock harnesses, Art Carr shifter, fuel cell, full and half doors, halfcab top, rocker guards, corner guards, driveshaft parts, etc, etc that Iíll also list if thereís enough interest in the big stuff.

PM me or post here if you're SERIOUSLY interested. If there's a decent amount of people wanting major components then I'll go ahead with the part out. If you like what I have but aren't gonna buy anything, please don't act interested. As much as I like compliments, that isn't what I'm after here....I need to know if people are gonna buy my stuff. I don't want to part this out at all but I need to know whether or not there's enough interest to justify it.

The accessory/pulley bracket assembly that bolts to the block to re-route the belt and the heat exchanger are missing. I think the reservoir and pump are in the box but I'll have to double check. The whole blower assembly, fuel injectors, fuel rails, internal intercooler, etc are all there, those are the high dollar parts.

I think I have 8 or 9 RH 1.25” shank forged Johnny Joints, 8 RH thread .75” shank Ballistic flex joints, and 3 or 4 .75” shank .75” hole heims with misalignment spacers. I also have 4 each of 2.25” .375” wall DOM LCAs with inserts welded in and 1.5” .25” wall UCAs with inserts welded in. Everything’s new, only used for mock-up. I’d have to get interest in some of the bigger stuff before I’d start selling links and materials though….those are a lot easier to get rid of.

Sounds good. Iíve got a nice performance cam, good hi-lift dual valvespring setup with titanium retainers, roller rockers, a few different intakes, new 5.3 heads, headers, DIY header kit, F-body oilpan, billet fuel rails, 36 lb/hr injectors, etc, etc.

I might be interested in some smaller parts. Half doors, Gen III parts, especially headers to fit inside a CJ frame if you have any.

I can't see any of the pictures at work, so I need to check when I get home. I'm fixing up my Scrambler over the next few months, going to drop in my L33 5.3. Wish that Stak was setup for a 700R4....

I want to look at the frame and cage pics at home.

Got any seats?

I'm pretty sure the headers I have would work perfect for ya. They're mid-length headers off an LS1 F-Body and clear the Scrambler firewall perfectly. They just barely clear the UCA mounts inside my framerails so I imagine they'd clear a stock frame easily. They don't hang down like longtubes either. I also have a Speedway Motors header kit if you wanted to make your own.

Swap the Stak over to a 27 spline input (~$100 if I remember right) and it'd be good to go for a 700R4. If I could sell something big like that then it'd probably be the jump start I need to start parting out the project.....I can't justify doing it yet though for just the smaller nickel and dime parts.

Let me know what you think of the frame and cage once you see the pics, and if you wanna come and check it out sometime you're more than welcome to. Everybody who's seen them was very impressed. The main portion of the cage fits inside a halfcab top too. The frame and cage would be ideal together since they have matching A and C pillar mounts/tie-ins already done(havenít gotten to the B pillars yet), but Iíd be willing to separate them. The frame is set up for a Gen 3 already too, obviously.

Iíll do some digging and see if I can find what the previous owner told me. If I remember right they were on the back of his buggy out west for a few months. He said the rebound valving was a little heavier to deal with the heavy 1 ton axle underneath, but nothing extreme. I donít think he gave me actual numbers but Iíll check. I got em from a guy on Pirate who was selling his ďoldĒ parts and starting a new projectÖ.one of those guys with more money than the rest of us would know what to do with.

Do you have the full hardtop still?
I know its a longshot, but do you have the original frame still?

I would like to see pics of the doors.

when would be a good time to come look at it, I am interested in the cage as well.

Full hardtop and stock frame are gone. I have a halfcab top and a new bikini top for it currently.

The full doors are black with some scratches in the paint but in great condition overall. No rust or major dents or anything like that. The 1/2 doors are white and in even better condition.

I'm not ready to part with the cage just yet since nobody has bit on the larger items but if you need more detailed pics of it in the meantime(beyond what's in the build thread) let me know and I've probably already got it.

I am builing CJ8 rig now with tons and a number of these parts could be of use to me. If I was to pick up a number of listed items would you work with the price? Depending on the price I would be interested in the following:

6.0L- i will need more detail
Doors
Scrambler Specific parts
Dana 60 parts (hysteer, diff covers, etc)
Drive shafts
14 Bolt diff cover

Let me know if you are interested, I have cash

Yes I'd be willing to work with you on the price for package deal type stuff, within reason of course. I'm already losing money on a lot of this stuff so I can't afford to drop it TOO much but I'll work with ya.

What detail do you need on the 6.0L? It's an LQ4 from a 2004 Hummer H2, 10-15k miles on it(the online ad from the salvage yard I bought it from said 15k but it had 10k written on the block), complete with all accessories and brackets, full wiring harness, computer, manifolds, downpipes with O2 bungs and sensors, motor mounts, etc. A whole box of stuff. I can give you a flexplate for a 3 bolt(700R4/4L60 style) or 6 bolt(4L80E style) torque converter. The intake manifold was broken when it was removed but itís been sealed up sitting and Iíve got another to go with it. Currently has throttle by wire but I have a cable TB I could provide with it if desired. Itís been sitting for a while so a good once over to check everything out probably wouldnít hurt, but I wouldnít hesitate to run it as-is at all. Rotates freely and everything looks great on it. I paid $1400 for the package and just want to get my money back out of it. I actually havenít even taken it off the pallet and put it in the Jeep yet so itís ready to go anytime. Things are starting to look promising for the part out so hopefully we can work out a deal.

That's the way I'd REAAAAALLLLY prefer to sell it.....I absolutely hate to see it go in pieces. Here's the original for sale thread with a rough price breakdown:
Hardcore Jeep Scrambler Project - Great Lakes 4x4. The largest offroad forum in the Midwest
I've got way more than that into it with all the little nickel and dime crap, and of course the hundreds of hours I've put into it, but it is what it is.

I was looking for $13k without the engine, trans, and t-case. How bout $14,500 with the Stak included? I'd definitely be losing money but it'd be saving me the trouble of parting it all out. Shoot me a PM if you're interested and we can discuss in more detail

Edit: That price is definitely negotiable. I realize I won't get my money back on the thing so if you're interested just let me know and we'll go from there.

I for some reason can't locate where to buy the missing parts or any kind of price on them. Do you happen to know where I can find them ?

Thanks.

Should be able to get them directly through Magnuson, the manufacturer of the supercharger. I haven't priced them out either, I've been worrying about other parts of the build up to this point.

Do you still have the 5.3? I'd hate to spend $1400 for a mock up engine
