I agree.

Eh, the cage will be fine for my mall crawler. I've seen stock cages hold up to rollovers. I got the engine painted and put together now. With any luck the tub should be put back on the first part of next week.

Got the cage put in too.

I'm surprised you didn't paint the engine orange to try and get a few extra ponies out of it.

How long until your done?

I have been kind of poking around lately, got a little burned out on the project so I had to slow down a little. I got some exhaust done on it now and the tub put back on today. I'm thinking of running some brake lines and fuel lines this weekend, and maybe getting some of the electrical stuff squared away on it. Who knows.

Made some good progress today thanks to my brother in law and a buddy of mine. Got the brake line all ran and bled. Found out after bleeding them that the front calipers leak so I have to get new ones and re-bleed. Not really that big of a deal, the only thing not new in the brake system will be the master cylinder. Got about 90% of the electrical done too, which on a TJ isn't that time consuming but it is now close enough to check it off the list. Even got the fuel cell coated on the inside and painted on the outside and pretty much in its final resting place and the fuel line run to it. I need to now get a TPS and a crank sensor and I can try to start it maybe this week. What a relief that will be. All in all it was a good day.

No way. I do not believe it. This must be fictional.

You make me want to throw in the towel. When I drive by 16 and Mound, I'm going to keep my eye open. If I see your "TJ" out in the wild, I'm going to stop and drool.

Just about done, got all the steering done, shocks filled, rear ds made and the front end put back on. I took it for a drive down the street today, but not too fast (having brake issues and only have 2 lug nuts on each wheel). Drove pretty good, the shocks didn't even unload pullin a u-turn which I kind of like. That means it shouldn't unload too much on me while side hilling. I will have to tune the shocks a bit, but I wheel it first a couple time to see how they react. got some stupid little stuff to finish that shouldn't take too long to finish. Basically just assembly work (wiring taillights, putting in headlights). Still a little bit off from wheeling as I need to make a front drive shaft and buy some wheel spacers to keep the rear tires from rubbing shocks while the suspension flexes. Needing a windshield too and I may have to buy a new booster and master cylinder, these would be the only 2 things not new on the brake system.

Nice going. Glad to hear it's stable. I just hope it's as stable as your bro-in-laws rig. That is going to be the most bad assist rig ever.
