Got some painting done on my frame this weekend.

With any luck I hope to have the body painted very shortly.

I ordered them 4' long 2" travel 5/16" dia. Its a 200 lb rated cable. $31.22 a piece. You can order them any way you like.
my god, that place is great. nice find

Did you order cable ends, or are you just using nuts? Their rod ends are actually pretty cheap...

I actually made my own ends, but I thought about getting some of the little heims to use. I think with the decent price on their cables I may order an extra 1 or 2 in case 1 should happen to break on a wheeling trip.

Not much has changed in the looks of progress the past couple weeks. I've been working on a lot of little stuff, CB mount, rear seat brackets, insta trunk, lot of little stuff that I could do after paint but I want it done now, that way after paint its only assembly from here on out.

I took the factory pins out of the windshield brackets and made a new pin out of bolts with a cotter pin to take the windshield off instead of just folding it down.

I had to rework the floor a little to clear the cables for my twin stick cable shifter

I got a brand new tailgate from a company that was going to stamp them aftermarket that went out of business. While trying to install it the lower hinge holes line up, the upper on the other hand, were about 3/4" too high so the hinges wouldn't work. I now see why they went out of business. I had to make an adaptor plate out of 1/4" stock and tap it to get the hinges to work. That cost a lot of time this weekend.

I ordered some smoked LED tail lights this weekend for it, they should be here tomorrow.

The tub at this point is pretty much ready for paint. With any luck it may get painted this weekend. I have a few part I need to sand down to prep for paint still but I hope they don't take too long.

This is the color I'm going with, so my truck and trail rig will be a matched set. I am still up it hte air on what color to paint the cage. I was thinking the new copper color that the GM vehicles are, but I just don't know. I'm open for suggestions.

The copper color would probably look pretty cool and different. Other than that the only color I would consider would be silver.

IIRC we were going to use that copper GM color on a trans am but it was like $132 a pint. Might be different elsewhere though.

I second the black cage. That would look the best with the tow rig, if you are trying to match.
