I think I changed my mind on what I want to build. I think I'm going to go for the Texas hillbilly mud truck. I put my air shocks on today to test flex it and with the air pressure they shipped them with, the shocks stayed fully extended.

32" from ground to bottom of frame rail. :tonka:

Now for the real flex test. I let some air out of my shocks to do some flexing.

2" below ride height.

With how clean you were building it, I kinda figured you were going for a show truck theme.

I'll bet you'd be fine running 54" boggers on those D44s.

Ok, so now there's some new pics. Looks good. Any rubbing on the rear shocks? Looks like it's close but ok.

The suspension looks good, whoever set that up is a genious. The fabricator's not bad, either.

looks like you are getting more flex out of the front axle than the rear.

still looks good.

with the reworked rear wheelwells, will you still be able to fit a tj seat. or are you switching to a yj/cj/aftermarket seat. just looks a little tight for the stock seat.

No, I still get more out of the rear, only by a couple inches though. My brother in law gave me a f an t rear cj seat, I haven't gone to pick it up yet though. It should fit in there nicely.

I finally got ahold of a 2" die for the bender this weekend to finish my cage and rear bumper. It only took about a month to track one down.

Nothing too exotic on the cage, but should hold up to a minor roll.

My cage mount will go on the end of the frame and be cut around the tube for the rear bumper.

There will be 2 tubes going forward to a cross member I welded in earlier to tie in the bumper from front to back. Then bump stops will also come off of those 2 tubes. I will also put on a couple shackle hangers for recovery

how does it stay up with out any springs? Where did you score the sweet insta trunk for so cheep? It looks like the drivers front wheel is locked up. Is it going to be street legal w/ the departure angle and the aproach angle?

I got a chance to do a tummy tuck on it this weekend. I got rid of the big shovel for a cross member/skid plate. I needed a 2" body lift instead of a 1" to get a true flat belly skid but the tuck should do fine.

I clocked a redrilled the 300 t case to be above the cross member. I had to introduce to floor to a hammer to clear for the indexing, its under the seat so you can't see it.

pic of the rear recovery shackle mount.

front recovery mount

I started to do cable twin stick on the 300 also. Will post pics up in a bit.
