Well I got a little work done on the Jeep yesterday and today. Yesterday I got the motor lifting bracket fab'ed up and bolted to the motor. Seems to fit good and will be available for loan when I'm done with this swap if anyone is interested, Then I got to the trans and I took off the t-case to find out it has a totally different bolt pattern, this sucks, feel like I'm running circles.

Then today the uphill battle kept fighting, got the motor up and started into the engine bay and realized I needed to remove the battery box, then after i got that out of the way i set the motor down about to where it needs to be and found out that something is wrong cause when the frame mounts are attached to motors mounts they're 4" wider than the frame so someone sent me something wrong, and I think the car exhaust manifolds aren't gonna work so they're added to the list of things to get, (Sorry Jake). But on a good note i did get the steering relocation bracket in the Jeep today, what a pain, had to tuck my body under the dash.

O ya and here is a pic of winch that showed up.

are u sure I think it's about right! LOL.
Now onto the important stuff, after hours of research and calling Chris from Hotwire Auto and talking to him then Todd from Jeepspeed Shop I found out that you could put the motor mounts on the block upside down if they were on the wrong side so guess who's the DUMBASS, This guy! Anyway after reversing the mounts and removing the exhaust manifolds she fit down in there on the mounts. YEAH progress! It's very tight to say the least. will have more pics tomorrow.

Got a little more work done on the jeep tonight, tacked in the motor mounts (twice) and think i got it in position but need to wait on the new exhaust manifolds to double check before fully welding them. don't wanna cut out a perfectly good set of mounts and mess them up. I think the TJ has more room under the hood than a JK or this motor is a lot bigger than a 5.7 Hemi. don't no if u can tell from the pic but there is about 3/16" clearance on the fan and maybe 3/8" on the firewall and 1/2" on the steering box. wow! But it's in. Time for a few more of these

got a little work done on the trans mount today, surprisingly simple after finding installation instructions. after getting installed found out i need to move the motor forward about 1/8" to 1/4" to clear firewall.

So I finally got out to garage to work on the Jeep, got the Trans adapter installed and the trans adapter together and welded, got the new manifolds test fitted. Motor and trans are pulled back out and motor mounts moved and welded in. Now waiting on the right motor mount bolts which will be here tomorrow, Hoping to get back out there and get the motor back in and start finishing this monster so we can hear it run!
Here are a few more pics and a couple of the start of the rear bumper from spudy, sorry haven't completely figured out how to work photo bucket yet.
