Default Trails / Forest roads near Clarkston or Waterford

Hey guys im new to the whole offroading thing. Ive been to the mounds a few times but im lookin for more two tracks and trails in the area. I know theres a few state recreation areas about 15 miles away from me and I was wondering if there is any kind of two trackin to be done out here. Or if anyone has property they wheel on I would like to know. Anything within 50 miles I would love to hear about. TIA

Unfortunately the state recreation areas are off limits. There are some two tracks up in the Gladwin area, but you really need to get up around West Branch and St Helen to find enough two tracks or ORV routes to make the trip worthwhile. The St Helen Motorsport area has a lot of room to play around in if you life sand. There are also a couple of other off road parks around - Rocks and Valleys near Harrison and Bundy Hill down near Jackson.

Ok thanks for letting me know about the state forest areas. What would you recommend the St Helen/West Branch area, bundy hill or rocks and valleys. There all about 2 hours away from me. Id prefer as little rock climbing as possible because of my D35 rear.
