Pretty much. I'm going to be in the area and I need to see if the Atlas can handle the horsepower. I don't plan on being there more than an hour or so, so I was looking who might be able to tow me out.

The people who think atlas t-cases are hard to shift, dont know how to shift them.

D-N-R while holding steady pressure on the lever you want to move, as soon as it unloads, it'll move.

The do make some noise but it's nothing too serious.

I'd rather have a D300 also.... you know, because they are SOOOOOOOO different....

By the time you put a 4to1 gears, heavy duty outputs, and flip it, its going to be almost the same price as an Atlas. Unless you find a used 300. If you don't upgrade to outputs you'll break them and bitch about how they are the worst t-cases ever made!

hahahahaha.......... I don't know WTF you guys are talking about. The question was "did you try it out". The answer was "Tab said not to worry about it". So, no, I didn't try it out because whatever Tab says is good. How hard is that to understand? It shifts fine.

To be more specific, I was at my property that is near R&V. Rather than drive to the park, I played around on some logs and stumps (one was about 4'tall), experimented with front dig around some tight corners, stabbed the throttle hard to let it run through the gears and all was well.

Oh and Erin, the winch works fine. You just need to know how to use it.

I was replying more to Erin than Jims vague post.... It does seem a bit confusing.

Cable shifters have a shitty feel.... You know, soft and mushy.
