Default SOLD - 1987 Suburban, 4wd, TBI 350/700r4/208, 10b/14bSF *Current pics up*

Good work truck and has been very reliable, but has a driveability issue with the motor. Best description I can give you is that it "runs stupid". Still runs and drives and will take you where ever you want to go. Comes with set of fresh, professionally rebuilt and machined cylinder heads for you to swap on and cure the blown gasket/cracked head that is fouling cylinder #7. Beyond that, I'd probably replace the O2 sensor, clean the TBI, and test the other sensors. This is what I get out of cylinder #7 every few months:

Truck has rust (mostly in the rockers), but comes with a lot of body parts to swap on. Mileage is unknown due to speedo having failed at some point in its life and was swapped out. Assume 150k+. Also has the other usual "old Chevy" issues, such as slow-moving windows, etc.

Transmission professionally rebuilt with hardened sun shell, new converter, new cooler lines, etc in January 2010. Transfer case leaks.

Swapped out the radiator a few months ago. Comes with correct factory shroud (not yet installed).

Axles are a 10b/14bSF set, 4.10's, open. Comes with another set of knuckles, spindles, lockouts, backingplates, and a NIB Pro-Comp raised steering arm. New Spicer front axle u-joints and brakes in Spring 2010.

One of the steering arm holes is slightly enlarged, causing an occasional wobble when you hit a bump. That's what the good 2nd set of knuckles is for. I was going to swap them on with ball joints and the raised steering arm to knock it all out at once.

Wears 315/70r17 on H2's. Comes with 2 new tires.

Unknown brand 4" lift. Front springs, rear blocks. Front spring bushings replaced about a year and a half ago. Rear blocks replaced this past winter.

Truck comes with entire 2nd core support (same year) to swap on, clean front and middle doors, 2nd set of matching front captains chair seats, another matching center console, 2nd rear HVAC assembly, 2nd set of tinted cargo windows, and some other stuff.

Seats are in pretty good condition considering the truck's age & mileage with cracks in the piping, but no tears.

AM/FM/CD player neatly installed in the factory center console.

H4 conversion low-beams.

2" receiver with 4 & 7-pin wiring.

Some stuff doesn't work, but nothing that cannot be corrected (some grounds need to be cleaned, etc).

A lot of people have seen me drive this truck all over the place and they know it has been very dependable. Its just gotten tired and needs some upkeep. I don't have the space or time to do the work anymore.

$1300 as-is with the fresh heads and all the spare parts I have for it. No trades. Clean title in my name. Will drive home to wherever you're going just the way it is and all the spare parts should fit in the back, too.

If you're the do-it-yourself type and are already familiar with Chevy trucks of this era, the truck will serve you well. The heads and front end part swaps are probably a weekend's worth of work for someone with tools and maybe a couple weekends if you wanted to change the core support out at the same time that you are working on the motor to knock it all out.

If you want the complete TBI BBC 454 to go with it that I also have listed, package deal for $1800:

Yes, in Sterling Heights.

Some of the parts are in Highland, but they can be moved.

The 454 is also in Highland on a stand. It will need to be picked up there. There is an engine hoist at that location for loading.
