Default Need help on axle decision

1995 XJ with dana 30/35 33" TSL Boggers

I just found two cracks on my lincoln welded rear dana 35 carrier. One crack from the pin bolt to the pin, and then one 90 degrees from the side to the pin. They are not huge and gaping, but they are cracks I can see.

I can either buy another dana 35 carrier, or I can think about long term and look for a locker. ringpinion.com has two i would be interested in, one is a yukon grizzly for about $529, and the other is the classic detroit mechanical for $579. Is yukon as good or better than a classic detroit locker?

I'm not sure I'm ready to swap axle models, yet, but I do have a spare ford 8.8 with different gears. Is ford 8.8 better than D44 for XJ?

Need help in another other options I may be missing or your opinions would be great.

Or if you have another XJ Dana 35 carrier to keep me wheeling, please pm me.
