We'll change some stuff, improve things, and make it better for next time.
Winching will be handled differently next time. Because, safety will not be compromised one bit.

Things we know for sure at this point:

Next years entry fee will be $300. You can start saving now, or make sure you have $5 to get in so you can watch next year.
As we grow, this will drop I'm sure.

Buy an alarm clock too, because the drivers meetings at 8:00am.
Start time will be 9:00am., because we're going to be full.

Thanks.

How is this adjusting and listening to the people who compete all season Ron????

I will go check the park out next year, ive heard mixed reviews, but i will tell you now i will not be competing with a $300 entry fee, i can do 3-5 comps for that amount. And 8 a.m. for anyone coming from out of town or state friday is not going to bring a smile either. They need time to get their rig ready in the morning and do prep stuff.

But ya know, not my comp., ive only ran 2 but been at many, Dusters have it nailed hands down, even when they run comps at other parks. And they listen.

just my 2 cent's. but i looked everywhere in this thread and didn't see anywhere that say's you had to enter or where someone was trying to force anyone to enter. i'm sure everyone's comments are noted for next year. and if you don't like how it's being run then don't enter, it's not rocket science!!

that entry fee is more than 1 unemployment check, and i still have to pay the child support too. i just will never swing that. even if i quit drinking.

Think about it........ If you get a club like CTOR or DMJC who has a rig or two who enter events like this, you get a shit ton of spectators from either club. Not saying that no other clubs are big but just the premis. I know at Twisted we had 15 spectators from CTOR just from having Erin running and supporting him. Thats $150.00 just from us for not even running but walking around and watching for a day. I think from a bidnezz prospective their shooting themselves in the ass. Just my two pennies.

400 people showed up and only 5 rigs entered............pretty dissapointing for the spectators IMO.

[QUOTE=jeepbrattt;2402154]How is this adjusting and listening to the people who compete all season Ron????

.
I think they should listen to the guest as well as the guest should listen to them. and all should adjust to whats at hand.

Look at it this way maybe?
$20 events dont pay out much. More can afford them and they are fun for all
$100 events pay better and limit who can compete. due to cost, just as fun for all
$300 events should pay great with full entry, and bring the serious well built rigs. Cost will factor out many. great fun as well.
.
Things are changing with all the event striving for you to attend. It will be hard to do them all, it will also promote Michigan as a wheeling and competitive place visit.

I meant no disrespect to anybody with my coments I ran sunday and i will do it again awsome course / park and great people and alot of work to put these on . besides the only problem I see with these style of comps is if the classes are full its a very very long day to run once. see you will never keep everybody happy

True, not going to make everyone happy, true $20 comps don't pay out much.......my thinking is this;

A new event at a new park should't be the most expensive comp of the year, FIRST you want to entice people to even come to your park, (a $100 entry fee would have done that, decent payout and affordable,) once people start talking about your park and you get the comps running at fuller capacity and smoother THEN you raise the entry fee and go for the big payout.

Just my opinion...rant on.

Ok, so most competitors want $100 entry fee and the event people want to stick with $300. How about a compromise and make it $200.

I'm really surprised that the event holders are not willing to budge. The people on here that are giving their opinion are not web wheelers. They are the ones that have been putting down money entering all of the other comps throughout the state including myself. I've entered 5 comps this year, but I just didn't have the $300 to do this one. Even if I did, I'm not sure I would've gone.

As far as the start time, I don't care too much about that. I always come in Friday night anyways.

I look at it a slightly different way. Up to this point, every park has supported each other. I would like to see this continue. One way to do it is to not have every park having a carbon copy comp of each other. Maybe Bundy can be unique with the high cost/paying comp of the year. Let the other parks support and promote this (just like Ron is doing) and in turn, Bundy can promote the other comps where there may be higher turnouts due to a lower entry fee.

What I am seeing is a willingness from the Pit Trash crew to try to work with everyone while maintaining their unique venue. Sounds good to me.
