Default Great Lakes Spa *** sold!!!***

I'm selling my demo spa in-leu of upgrading to a little bigger model.
It's a 2006 GL5 (5 person spa) that is prestine.
Silver metallic shell with gray woodgrain (EON synthetic) sides. New, this unit was about $7K with the included options

This unit has seen very little use.

$2800.00 obo

Included options:
Ozonator
LED lighting package (underwater LED and clear cup holders light up as well)
AM/FM/CD player/ MP3 input player with 2 coping speakers
Cover (4"-2" taper)
Cover handling device.

Measurements are 78" x 78" and 31" tall without the cover installed.
it requires a lever cement slab or reinforced deck since it will end up weighing about 5K lbs once you have it filled with water and people.
also a 50 amp GFCI wiring. (you electrician can quote that out for you.)
Now for the important stuff- like pics:

Also- here's the manufacturer's link: http://lifeisgreatlakes.com/gl5.html

Are you sure about the 5,000 pounds?

Pretty close. That's what we tell pretty much any customer.
Empty spa-500 lbs
350 gallons of water @ 8 lbs per gallon
4 people @ 200 lbs each....

And add a grill, a couple more people standing around, and anything else you may have on your deck and you can easily exceed 5 or 6K.

My deck has a spot for a spa and I was told it would only support 3800-4200 pounds.. argh...

I have tables, chairs, a grill, and other stuff, but it wouldn't even be on the same level at the spa itself. Do you have a weight on the spa, not figuring in random people standing around?

Spa that size is likely to be about 425 gallons - at 8.35 pounds per gallon, that's 3500+ pounds of water. Another 1500 for the tub itself seems a little high, so maybe 4200-4500 pounds.

The tub I just replaced seated 8 and ran 570 gallons. When they picked it up (I traded it in) it flattened the tires of the trailer/dolly rig they use to haul them on. The wood frame and housing, huge tub assembly was pretty heavy - I'd say it ran over 5000 lbs (full) easily, since the water would go 4700 lbs itself.

OK- I double checked the brochure- 545 lbs. empty
capacity (due to the seating configuration) 360 gallons. (figuring 8 lbs per gallon)
total weight before people = 3425.

If you don't intend on having a 10 person orgy in it, you should be fine!

I found one that I was going to buy, but it was three times what you're selling yours for. I'm going to have to look into it, now that I know the weight is what a normal tub is. Thanks

Who plans on a 10 person orgy, it just happens sometimes and you don't want to be a dick and tell them sorry my deck can only handle a 9 person orgy.

We'll mark this one as "SALE PENDING", but I would pretty much write this one off as "SOLD!"

THANKS TONKA!!!! ENJOY!
