Default 2001 Dakota CTM (FIXED)

NEW Developements: as of 8-2

Now that I am sure that I need a CTM, Where is the best place to buy one???

I'm calling Lynch Jeep in Rodgers City in the morning, because a search leads me to think that they MIGHT be the place to buy.

Elhart Jeep, here on the west side ......nooooway, they are price crazy.

Any trusted dealers you guys recommend? Seems that the CTM is a dealer only part?????

Thanks, FOUND IT -left kick panel-

the unit was supposed to have been re located for the 2001 model year to the left side of the dash.
Seems 2001 was a transition year as it also was a new radio harness and new connectors, I have already learned the hard way.

I have also checked the Dodge Forum seems that ALOT of Durangos/Dakotas have this issue

Behind the drivers kick panel, but it seems you have found that already.
A new module needs to be configured using a chrysler scan tool, this means your gonna have take it to a dealer.

Just an FYI to VVest siders:

The Chrysler dealer in Wayland Mi (http://waylandchrysler.com/ ) is an honest dealer around here.

I had every other dealer quote 1 hour to reprogram the CTM.
One( http://www.hzgrandville.com/index.htm) even quoted me 1/2 and then re-quoted my wife (stupid female) at 1hr when she wanted to make an appointment.

I've been told since, by some long time locals that the Wayland dealer is always like that. (straight up service and sales prices)
