Default For Sale: Glock Gen IV 9mm

I have a Glock Gen IV 9mm with night sightes I'd like to sell. This gun is brand new, never been fired. In fact, it's still in layaway at the gun shop. The original purchase price for the gun is just over $600 with taxes. I would like to let it go for $450. Of course, you will have to get a purchase permit and all that other good stuff that is required. Gun is located in Auburn, Michigan.

Note: I believe the gun is a model 19. Its the longer barrel 9mm.

I've got people asking me questions as to why an item in layaway is for sale so here is my response:

I put the gun in layaway because I needed it to attend the police academy at Delta College and I have paid approximatly $325 on it so far. I lost my financing to attend the academy so now I no longer have a need for the gun. The gun shop has a no return/refund policy so I am just trying to get out from under it without making any more payments. I'm not hurting financially so if I can't sell it this way, I'll just keep paying on it. I'm not really a gun person and don't feel the need to have a gun for protection. I looked at the gun as mearly a tool to do a job.

It would be helpful to know exactly what model it is. There are a handful of 9mm glocks.

From order of smallest to largest, it goes: G26, G19, G17, G34.

It must be a 17 since it is the longer of the two that were available. I will stop in the gun shop tomorrow and find out for sure.

I don't care if your Uncle's third cousin sells these guns for $300 and a hand job, I'm asking $450.

If you were going for the academy why didnt you use the LEO discount on it you'd be 25 shy of it paid off ? Ask the gun shop if they will give you the discount .

The LEO discount does not include the night sights and you have to pay for the gun up front. The total if you are a LEO student is $556 after purchasing a night sight and after taxes. I needed to put a gun in lay away so I went with my local gun shop. The cost difference was not that much.

Seriously guys, I'm well aware of all the deals out there. If you want the latest and greatest Glock 9mm and a decent price, contact me. If you are a LEO student and feel you can get a better deal, go for it. I'm just trying to recoup some of the money I spent trying to get into the academy.

No jeep should be without a trusty sidearm.

Agreed...

The $450 is a good price on the Gen 4. I had a Gen 4 17 and it was a great shooter, pointed nice and felt real good in the hand. I had to sell it, didn't want to, but had to. I sold it for a fraction cheaper (without night sights) just because it needed to go but I had 6 buyers lined up. Point is, this is a great price on a great firearm.

If you haven't yet Nuggets, toss it up over at www.Migunowners.org
