Default Project Only in a Jeep ... jeep xj(updated 2/19/13)

well back in October i bought a 99 jeep cherokee and began to slowly build it i wheeled it once stock and had enough of that

then i bought a 3" add a leaf and got some 31" goodyear wranglers for free and wheeled like that for a bit

i found some rims that i kinda liked so i put them on but shortly after took them off

then my brother came to town and bought me a gift from 4bangler i was very happy to have a new winch bumper

now as it sits today still has the same lift and same tires but hope to be getting a locked front axle and welded dana 44 from a friend but i have added a few face lift things like grill inserts which are not done yet and new headlights

when im finished i am shooting for 6 inchs of lift let me know what you think

Looks pretty clean, when it's not covered with slop. I'm going to lift mine after I work the bugs out of my small block XJ. So in the next year or two..........

rear axle out

rear axle back in with new 4.5 inch lift springs and chevy 2 inch lowering shackles and i can thank my wonderful girlfriend for the artwork

front is done and back down on the ground

first day back on the road and all i have now is a vibration between 20 and 40

then we got a big snow storm and i went to my buddys house and could not see a thing a ran into a drift

trimmed my front fenders the other day

and thats how it sits today next is a dana 44 for the rear and a winch

I like it.

The only thing I don't like is the Chevy drop shackles. On compression apps (XJ), they have a tenancy to collapse or fold up when their made for tension (Full size Chevy). The metal can be too thin for the XJ setup.

Other than my pet peeve, that is nice.

Chevy lowering shackles are like jeep lift shackles and can be found really cheap and I found the lights at a garage sale so I have no idea
