if you are towing, make sure you know what the hell you are doing.

no libby has the right to tow 6000lbs, i don't care what the manufacturer says.

What about me towing with my WJ? Is that allowed?

i would feel a little more confident with you towing with your wj for two reasons.

1. you have a longer wheelbase, and bigger brakes.

2. you don't have the baddest yj ever like stan the man.

ok, just wanted to make sure I'm cool. :tonka: With my WDH and sway bar controls, the WJ tows better then the 04 hemi ram that my WJ replaced, and gets better gas mileage too.

i guess when it all comes down to it it depends on how you drive when you are towing.

you will never see me towing above 65 mph. and it scares me when then trailer you are pulling is longer than the tow rig you arw pulling it with.

The sweet spot for the WJ is 67. Thats OD off, 2800ish RPM's. Lots of passing power also.. 67-80 is way faster then 0-20

According to my internet search, the KJ has a wheelbase of 104.2 and the WJ has 105.9.

I don't know about all KJs, but mine has disks at all 4 corners and the front calipers are big enough to require 16" rims.

Well shit. I'm fucked too. My trailer is way longer than my tow rig.

you know what I was on the highway the other day and saw a couple other trucks with trailers longer than the truck. I will be sure to get their plate numbers and report them. Do I just tell them that gofastbobby said to call?

I luv diggin' up old post.. It's fun.. I was waiting for the WK/WJ to KJ comparision.. In europe they actually rate the liberty diesel higher than the WJ because the hitch is closer to the centerline of the wheelbase or something like that.. And since the KJ had issues in the begining with roll over and what not they stiffened the hell outta the bushings and actually gave it some real shocks to help control the roll.. I've towed with my Dad's 4.7 WJ and it's got a mushy kinda feel to it.. It also feels much higher than mine.. Oh and I got new tires for it to.. I wouldn't tow very much with the piece of garbage goodyears that come on it.. I put Kumho A/T LT tires on it.. A load range d tire.. It took almost all the sway out along with the sway bar.. I just use the one sway bar though..

Carry On

The WJ is nice.. Pretty good power.. I used my dad's quite a bit before I bought the liberty.. They are a little mushy though.. We put the AirRite bags in my dads and it made a world of differance.. It makes the WJ's steering feel right while still having a good amount of tounge weight.. If you tow alot with the WJ I highly recomend them.. They are only 70bucks..
