Default Rat Rod CJ5

I picked up this very rusty CJ5 this winter with the idea of making a beater trail /dune Jeep.

Here are the pictures of what I have had to do to get it pieced back together. (Hopefully this works)

I always liked these jeeps. Never could find one at a good price or if it was in a field rusting away, they didn't want to part with it cause it's a dream project they forgot about.

man that looks like alot of work, i had to box a frame in the back of a cj-5 the same way you did on yours about 10 years ago, a friend of mine still owns the jeep and it still is solid in the back.
your doing a real nice job bringing a old basket case back to life keep up the good work!

i see alot of cj5's in the dunes.. people prefer them because of the shorter wheel base and lighter weight? or just that they are usually cheaper than a 7 or YJ?

I finally got my bumpers powder coated. The front bumper is on and makes the rest of the Jeep looks like it needs a paint job. I will post some pictures when it gets warmer out. I also got a set of jeep pegs from www.jeepegs.com
