Something in the western UP would be cool. The terrain is amazing out there.

What about doing a class that is 35's and smaller with stock axles. Any suspension goes as long as it resembles a bolt on kit? I.E. Cherokees must have link suspension front and leafs in the rear.

sounds good.still keep some hard stuff in the course so 4x4 must be used. so it will keep the long travel trophy trucks out.you can buy some bad ass long travel bolt on kits for rangers and full size chevy and fords.

no!!!! you are not welcome up north....

| that is a good idea dale..just go with the specs they have for the trec series. make sure and keep the open class open to anything though.start doing too many rules and that cuts out the regular guy.

Oh definitely keep it tough. Lots of tight turns, and keep the open rolling hills for speed. That was a great place to kick back and watch the guys in the last comp. Maybe reverse the direction once in a while? It is sometimes nice to have the same track/obstacles as it is an advantage for those who have raced it before, i.e. short cuts, passing locations. It keeps the rookie racer a rookie and the veteran racer a veteran. The race will always be different than the last because of "Murphy's Law".

When would something like this take place?

trec is basically

a- class open buggys, 44 inch tire and down and any thing goes
b- class Jeeps with long arms and motor swap must have a oem body and frame portions, 35 inch tire and up
c-class factory type suspension no long arms, up to 5 inch lift, stock axles, 35 and under tire. oem body and frame

actually it might fill up. So i wouldnt wait last minute when they get the dates and rules set up. with no promoting besides word of mouth and a few websites the 1st race had 24 rigs in it. i wouldnt want much more than that on the course at a time. I think they will put a limit to number of rigs per race.

I think 40 would be alright, I liked seeing packs of vehicles passing by, it made it more exciting to watch. Plus it would make it more challenging to compete in. When would this take place?

I sooo agree! The most fun I had as a passenger was yelling at Mike to pass whoever was in front of us! Damn that was a fun comp!!! More then enough room for 40, we only ever got clustered up with about 4 rigs at a time, and that was rare.
