Default shorting bump stops

I have a set of 4" travel bilstien bumps I want to shorten to a 2"stroke. Does anyone on here do this? I would?

Usually they just discharge them and take them apart and add a 2" spacer to the shaft. Put back together, charge, install, jump it.
