He seems to be the best pick out of the group. He has experience and has a good track record of his time in politics.

He bases everything he can off of his religion. I will be voting for Mike Cox.

He helped us out with our adoption. He was able to get things straightened out with immigrations when we were getting the run around with them losing our paperwork when they switched offices. He will for sure get my vote! He is a great guy too.

That stuff makes me leary. I'm leaning toward Mike Cox too.

So somebody that believes in God makes you leary? He strikes me as an honest man out to do what is right. He is out to help the people and work for the people. I guess if he was out to get it for himself that would make you feel more comfortable about him.

Bernero will beat Hoekstra. Dillon will beat Hoekstra. Cox will beat either. Cox gets my vote.

Best case scenario for the good guys would be a Bernero vs Cox setup in Nov.

COX FTW

I've been burned in the past by overly religious people. Nothing against you but I just don't trust people that wear their religion on their sleeve. As I said before, I'm leaning toward Mike Cox. My decision isn't final and I'm viewing all options.

Really? I've heard good things about him but I will have to follow your advice and do some research.

http://www.ontheissues.org/MI/Peter_Hoekstra.htm

I would have liked to find a similar report for Cox but being an AG he would have to fill out some sort of questionnaire on the issues instead of using a voting record. So If anyone has a link to that info please post it.

I agreee in concept. But so far Snyder had avoided the debates and hasn't really produced any answers other than to say "I'm a businessman and I know how to run a business". So, how is he going to go about solving the state problems? He needs to spell it out. The problem with this concept is that a businessman who has had ultimate control over his company is able to make decisions and no one can say no. Without know the numbers, I doubt he has run any business with as big of a budget as the state and he's never had to deal with so many different political issues, unions, special interest groups, etc.

Do I like the idea of a businessman putting together a business plan to solve our state's problems? YES

Do I think it's really that simple? NO

Yes, but he affects me personally more as an AG than as a governor.

I'm leaning more towards this guy as well. He did run Gateway computers when they were "Booming" and it seems he had alot of success there. Did he have to deal with politics? Undoubtedly. Any organization has politics, not just Government. I think we need someone that knows how to manage things better. Politicians don't fit that bill some times. They just know how to kiss up to people. It'll be interesting.

On another note. Don't Vote for Bernero, he's a tool. Literally. He's spent more time lobbing for the Big three then being the Major of Lansing. He would destroy this state.

Hoekstra has my vote, he sure loves big government though. He also wants to make the patriot act permanent.
We need a revolution and now.

I have to give Bouchard props for having the balls to take on unions and "right to work" head-on and directly - in Michigan no less.

Hoekstra is a good conservative, but a little too much of a Bible-thumper for me.

Snyder sounds interesting, but doesn't seem committed.

Cox is an idiot.
