2006 Golden Eagle / Chevy 5.3l/6spd manual - $5000 (SOLD)
Thought I'd throw this out there and see if there is any interest.
What it is:
Salvage title 2006 Jeep Wrangler Golden Eagle.
Factory 4.0/6spd/D44 rear (3.73 gears) with airconditioning.
The 4.0 is gone. In its place I have a 26k mile 2003 Chevy 5.3l drive-by-cable V8 complete with adapters to the Jeep 6spd. I also have bolt-in motor mounts.
I have a new belt for it, and used starter, alternator, and power steering pump (factory Jeep hoses bolt right up).
I have the proper Chevy flywheel and new, in-the-box clutch setup.
To top it all off, I have a custom stand-alone wiring harness. If I have serious interest, I'll go ahead and have the computer reprogrammed and include that.
In a couple weeks (if I still have it) I'll have the engine in and bolted up.
Story of the Jeep: it's a roll-over that mostly took out the passenger fender and windshield frame. The hood is dented up and the grille is tweaked. I have a good windshield frame with it, but the glass is bad.
There is NO FRAME DAMAGE. I drove the piss out of this in my yard last winter (kids loved it) and up and down the road a few times without issue. This spring I yanked and sold the motor and it's been sitting in my barn waiting for the motor swap, which I started two weeks ago before I ran out of time (again).
The biggest thing is that the tub is tweaked at the dash and needs to be pushed out about 5/8" at the top on the driver's side and 7/16" at the top on the passenger side so the windshield lines up properly.
Have a good set Bestop 2-piece soft doors for it along with a factory soft top with tinted windows and no door surrounds. It has a 3" patch over the passenger rear corner I had professionally repaired (tear from the accident).
Full console with subwoofer and AF/FM/CD player (sounds GREAT) and soundbar.
It's a GREAT project and is 90% all there except a SYE for a Chevy (for the VSS), gauges, and exhaust.
Will let it go for $5000 (I have WAY more than that into it).
I paid $4800 for the Jeep, $1200 for the engine, $600 for the harness, $200 for the conversion mounts, $400 for the engine adapter, $300 for the 2-piece soft doors, $75 flywheel, $300 for the clutch.
I also have some other extras I'll include : new Ford electric fan that fits a factory-size radiator nearly perfect (I used one on a 5.3 YJ I did this summer and it cools just fine crawling around in 90-degree weather in Colorado with no mechanical fan.
A like-new set of 4.5" coil springs and a good front ajustable track bar.
I will NOT part out or sell anything separate. I am firm on my price or I'll just keep it. I do NOT want anything for trade.
Any questions or more information, let me know....

interior is pretty much perfect. it's the standard black interior on a Golden Eagle. it just needs to be cleaned - there are no rips/tears/wear, etc... the only issue is during the rollover, oil ran out of the engine, and while being towed, it misted back into the interior. it's not bad, but you can see it on the seats. i've had a LOT worse stains removed from seats and carpet....
