Very true. It would be nearly impossible to get people to come out and drive around in a field with 3-6' of snow. Thats why the DogParty was such a failure.

I really hope this works out well! In that area, there is a possibility for some great wheeling!!

I thought Mt. Morris was far from me being about an hour plus, but man this place is a little over 4hours. Darn. Wish they could build one closer.

Never thought they would put a park in Mancelona though.

got a tour of the new park tonite. Thanks jamie! The pics that where shown where of the parking area which is a sandy area that they are putting gravel on today when i stopped by.

there is an area of man made obstacles similar to twisted trails bowl area. Its smaller right now but they are adding new stuff every day.

There is a "small" mud area and then a much larger mud area which might eat even the biggest mud digger.

you then move out of the open area into the hard woods which have trails that are a cross between rocks and valleys and pricker valley at tt. There are some pretty steep hill climbs and the hardwoods will be a scramble type area where you can "make your own trails". wheelers are asked not to damage the mature trees if possible.

Future plans include a covered viewing area which will over look the mud pits and bowl areas with picnic tables and grilling area.

Jamie expressed the idea of family fun at this park and i think this will be a pretty fun place to go for the day. Hell its only 15 miles from my house.

I did not see any rock obstacles today but he stressed they are working on it every day.

Definitely worth a stop out it my opinion.

I have no financial interest in the park. Just stopped to check it out for my web wheeling friends.

This isnt a bad place for being a baby site. I live less than a mile away and was with the groups testing it out :D when it was being built. There are good sandy fun spots, the bog is DEEP and big, I have seen one out of a hundred trucks make it through :D The woods is a blast because anything goes. There are some "pre" made trails, but you can veer off and make your own trail any where. What they really need is our support and us to have some patience while they continue to create this place. If we can get people in there playing around and get some revenue for them we can turn this into a twisted trails for sure. I would hate for these guys to lose motivation before they even have a chance to show us what they can do to make a great park!!

Looks like a good spot for mud boggering and four wheelering.

Nascar.
