TAKE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKES... then make sure to hit up Copper Harbor, if you need direction to the trails stop in the Adventure company. The CH Trails club or whatever they call themselves have some badass trails they just finished through the mountain.

My favorite thing to do in the Keeweeaw, is just float around enjoy the scenery, and veg. The bars in Houghton and Calumet are fun (drinking bars not party ones). Well I like the bars because I still have friends up there.

The mines and waterfall hunting are fun too if your into that sort of thing.

Eddy currents in the river.

My favorite destination was in Grand Marais. As authentic as you can get. They don't make a bad beer, I tried them all . I admit I was skeptical when the waitress said their stout was better than , she was right. It's a small UP town so they run out of stuff you wouldn't normally worry about like cheese for pizza's and whitefish because it was a bad day on the lake. It really felt like authentic UP. We were privileged to sit next to the town drunk(self proclaimed mind you) at the bar. Fifth of whiskey a night, the place gives him the bottles at the case cost now because he's such a showman. We also later found out the he is the best lake trout fisherman in the area(proclaimed by all the other locals). Great food and beer, definite place to put on the list if you're in the area! Look for the stain glass above the entrance
