Bill, those are all "one of a kind" vehicles.

A lifted jeep is not "one of a kind"

PT Cruisers and SST's are fueled by the fact the cruise gets big $ from sponsors.

By the way, PT cruisers shouldn't be allowed on the roads, period. Make me think of the Pacer whenever I see them. They are butt ugly, and people who own them think they make them look cool.

1972 is a classic.

And how many of those pickups do you see still left on the road in that condition?

I saw this truck and I had to buy it. My grand dad had a red one just like it. So I bought it and I love it. My mom and my grandmother love it as well. I am shocked because my wife likes it also. I named my vehicle Perry because thats my grand dads middle name. I cant wait to cruise! Have fun everyone!!

So I can cruise Woodward in the old man's 77 F-650 tow truck then? Now that I think about it there is a 75 P-30 sitting out side the shop half cut up, I'll drive that.

WTF are you smoking. Those SSR's are not one of a kind. If you want an SSR like that plain black one just cough up the 50k. The others tho nice are not 'one of a kinds' either. I think there are plenty of jeeps more unique than some of those.

the 1978 T/A could muster a 15.2-second quarter-mile, and sprint to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds!!!!!

right, it was the 6.6, but the 6.6 was 403, and built by Buick, not pontiac, most people confuse it with the earlier pontiac 400,
other wise I wouldn't mention it...

almost all them vehicles are very common, as Bill pointed out, stock chevy truck, how about that stock SSR, or the 2 vehicles that only have paintjobs, that's no farther from stock then a lifted jeep...

The '77 and '78 had the pontiac W72 400 6.6 liter but most of the '79s had the 403 and it was built by OLDS not Buick.

I didn't make a mistake.

Leave them at home, or park on the side streets, and walk to woodward. Do you have a classic 4x4? Then bring it!

Last year I heard 4x4 people (mostly jeep owners) crying about all the thugs in their impala's with dubs cruising woodward. There is nothing different from a jeep with 38" tires or a escalade on 24" rims. Neither are wanted on woodward during the cruise, they are both a dime a dozen, and there is nothing classic about them.

Direct from the WDC website:

What is it?

The Woodward Dream Cruise celebrates the heydays of the 50s and 60s when Woodward Avenue was the heart and soul of cruising in the city that put America on wheels. Combined with music and fashions of the era, the Dream Cruise celebrates the nostalgia of bygone days in the cars that made them so special. This is aimed at gathering classic cars in one location for the enjoyment of all. Classic cars are loosely defined as those manufactured before 1975 or a vehicle of special interest, such as a limited edition or one-of-a-kind automobile.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
you ruined your post with this line. If 4x4's have enough draw to create mutiple websites dedicated to them in the same region, the they are definately a SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP
I've actually won a 2nd place plaque in a boy scout's car show with an off-road vehicle in the SPECIAL INTEREST CATAGORY
