Default The Democrats did it again, when no one was looking...

Thanks to all the commotion about the Arizona immigration law, The Senate passed the first step to the government takeover of the country's financial system, without anyone noticing.

You know about the Financial reform bill, don't you? The one where the fed can decide a company is going to fail, and seize the company and its assets. Then fire any of the executives or higher-ups. Then decide to how much the company can pay it's employees. And liquidate the company's assets and close the company. You know, companies like PNC Bank, Home Depot, Pfizer, Roush Industries... pretty much any business.

You know, the bill that gives Federal oversight to all institutions who offer credit to consumers, guaranteeing the Fed can decide whether your bank or credit union can give you that $500 loan so you can buy that lift kit you wanted.

Have any of you noticed there is no such thing as "No payments/No interest for 1 Year" anymore? That was the tip of the iceberg that the Fed put in place last year. Now its just "No interest" with a minimum monthly payment required. That was the Fed's baby- not Lowe's, Home Depot, Sears, Gardener White, Art Van or anyone else.

If the House passes it and Obama signs it, the Fed will control over 1/3 of the US economy.

The auto industry, health care, the financial industry, salt in your food, the Fed wants to regulate everything these days...except immigration. They don't want to do anything at all about that.

Hope and Change - It's a motherfarker, ain't it?

NOpe, I didn't. And I can say, I'M GLAD. Buying something you couldn't afford is a major reason we got in this Position in the first place. The fact that those have gone away is a Blessing.

The Other stuff Is sucky. But that's what "the people" voted for.

Must not have bought on a store credit card. The law applies to companies that have their own credit cards, like Lowe's, home depot, furniture stores, Guitar Center, etc.

Backed by Visa & Omaha bank. Still it made the purchase cheaper than before so its a win-win. I'm also paying it off as soon as the first bill comes in.

Show me where in the constitution its says the government has the right to tell a private business what their policies should be. Other than public safety issues, the Fed doesn't have the right. Until Obama.

I don't believe what has gone on the past 16 months is what the people voted for. Most people would not have voted for Obama and the Dems if they saw this as the result, and only the diehard Obamamaniacs are still rooting for the guy.

They don't have the right. I agree. However, I don't see a problem with that policy (pay later, not now) going away in any shape or form. I've always disliked it and it's just a bad Financial Idea.

The problem with that whole second paragraph is that people can't see into the future and they voted for him. Now they have to deal with it. Hindsight is 20/20. Your right in saying that a majority of people would not vote for him had they known what he was going to do but there is no way to tell that intill he starts. I mean, He can SAY he's going to do this or that but his actual actions aren't going to be known intill they happen.

No, your original statement made it sound like the people voted for everything that is happening right now.

I think we both agree that he would not have won the election if people really knew what was in store for them.
