Default ide surge

I have a 2005 jeep wrangler that had a vucuum line loose. No A/C except through defrost vents or cruise control. Found the loose hose that plgs in to the manifold and re-attached - ac and cruise works now but the engine idle is rough and wants to cut out as well as surge. got any ides when i disconnect the line from the manifold it runs fine but no cruise and ac again.

someone else on here or when I was googling my heat not working and I saw the same problem. Dont know if they figured it out but a few people told him to clean the sensors in the TB and a few said he had the one he hooked up was correct but there was a T close by that he also hooked up that was supposed to be plugged. Just going by memory here. Sorry.

Clean out the throttle body and IAC valve attached to the throttle body. Cleaning the IAC cures many idle issues on the 4.0s.

It is very important to keep the throttle body and valve clean, the clearances are very exact and just a little bit of gunk will mess up the calculations, same applies to the iac, the iac is just a little more forgiving. This applies to any efi engine. When I had a rough running car come in thats the first thing I did
