Default 88 f250...lift, body and general questions

I've gone through and googled and can't seem to find many answers.

Can I use a 92-96 bed on my 88? Was the only change the front sheetmetal? The bed on this one looks pretty well beyond repair.

Any reccomendations where to get some new front leafs? I'd like to level the front end out as it seems like it's sagging pretty badly.

I'm new to older fords...any links or anything you can provide so I can educate myself would be greatly appreciated. It's got some quirks like the gas gauge that I'd like to learn more about.

The beds from 1987 to 1996 will interchange, same mounting holes, same body lines.

LMC truck has leaf springs iirc, or check your local parts store to order them in.

This truck has a pretty nasty paint job. Might be easier for me to find a newer front clip than to try to get this one sanded down.

Thanks for the info, I found a ford truck forum that's proven invaluable already.

if you buy new springs, get some for an F-350, they have a little less negative arch, if you wanted a stightly stiffer ride with a bit more lift, get the springs for a diesel.

What's the issue with the gas gauge? Does it happen to read backwards (Empty Tank = Full gage reading)?

The gas gauge reads well past full at all times.
