yes I over simplified.

BUT here is what bothers me. the money the government gave them was from american tax dollars. the people own the company however the government gets the shares. they buy something with our money and take control of it.

I completely understand where you're coming from, however, how much of our tax dollars are spent on anything we benefit from - and how much go to B.S. pork?

Not saying it's right; the only reason I like it is because both my wife and I work for GM.
