no the lower carpet run is not for say gated, but the nequomenon ski trail, or whatever the fukc is called runs right through it, they get really pissy when someone has to drive a 100 yards on the ski trail

Kickstand at least you have been up here and know how the trails are none of them are closed you can still run up the mulligan to the river but you cant cross the river like it always has been. As for what ben says just take it with a grain of salt he is the type of person that would get trails closed with the actions I have seen him do. For the most part any trail that is ran up here you can get in shit for its all up to the DNR officers discression. we dont have parks and what not.

we got frowned on heavily back in 2002 and had the cops called on us as we exited onto 510, we were unaware, but we never went back to test the waters, it's not worth pissing people off and getting more access closed.

The mulligan crosses private property in more than one spot, it is not only illegal to cross the river, but you would be tresspassing to run that trail.

Their was also no bridge upon exiting the trail at the yellow dog the last time I ran that trail, the bridge had gone missing a few hundred yards downstream from flooding that occurred in 1999-2002 time frame (its been a while so I dont recall which spring the bridge washed away in)

Illegal or not things like illegal wheeling kill this sport just as quickly as "hybrid bullshit"

He's 16, meaning he is young enough now to educate and turn into an advocate for the sport and it's future, rather than just letting him be another "dumbass redneck" (as perceived by all the tree huggging hippie fucks)

I didn't want to get into this shit storm but since the actual build thread is ruined now here I go.

1- Ben you must be the dumbest fucking hillbilly i know, i do not remember a single time that i have seen you out wheeling without a beer in your hand, even on our club functions that will not only fukc yourself over but get the club shut down with the school.

2- Property up here is looked at differently then down there, if we did not do ANY sort of "illegal" wheeling there would be nowhere to wheel up here, property owners up here are very lenient considering they do the same things with other peoples property whether it be hunting or berry picking. The way i have learned up here (born and raised) its open unless posted private, which is way different then other places, i understand that.

3- I’ve been told by the sheriffs office that wheeling the mulligan/wildcat canyon and all of those trails are fine as long as the bridges are intact and you use them. the mulligan truck trail has been one of the go to trails for decades in marquette county, growing up with my dad and uncle running the northwoods trail blazers we would run the trail multiple times a year and make a loop out of it with wild cat canyon, with many run ins with DNR officers the only thing they made clear that what they cared about was using the bridge on the mulligan, the trail blazers would go there after the water went down in the spring and build a new bridge every year so that they would not be stepping on any toes with the DNR.

You’re always going to have some people with no respect for the land, that’s just how it is. The only thing you can do is tell people and inform them on what is right/wrong, i think joxracing got the point now and the subject can be dropped, he is 16 and learning you don’t have to keep ragging on him about it.

It's definitely different up in that area, a very cool different. Typical rule of thumb is to be respectful and stay out of wetlands and you will usually be fine.
