Got the truck in today, and up on the lift.

Ditched the front sway bar
Drained Coolant
Adjusted rear brakes

The front end pulled alot of travel just like it is, so i cant imagine what its gonna be like with the Deaver's

Sorry, pic's are a little blurry.

Today we ditched the old coils, shocks, and brake lines... now it really droops down.

final pic...

cycled the travel...
around 29" of droop from where i want to mount the shock.
and around 17.5 at full bump.

so that means i should go with around, a 14" stroke shock

That angle is at its most extreme right now, and the suspension will be limit strapped way before it ever reaches that angle.

heres some progress from today...

ordering the FOA's tonight.

heres some more pics of it today with the new coils and the arm's painted...

Full droop..

and here is the way it sits, im really hoping adjusting the balljoint cam's and/or ordering better adjusters will fix this.
the cam adjusters i can order with adjust it 3+/- camber.
i really dont wanna cut n turn now, just for time and money restraints...

i'll be throwing up my other parts i took off like the lift coils and drop pitman arm(brand new) if anyone is intrested...

Why would i listen to you straight axle mud boggers?

ive been reiceiving advice from long travel TTB builders, that have done this before and know what there talking about.

and yeah, there is nothing like a set of BFG's tearing up some nice virgin wetlands...

haters.

mud bogger? I don't go in the mud? I understand if you can't afford to build a solid axle so a TTB is a cost effective alternative. I just don't like people who trash wet lands, private property or not

i could afford a solid axle, i want travel, therefore a TTB is the best bet next to a-arms.

im more of a fast guy, than a slow guy.

Dude I'm not trying to be a prick but most of these guys have years more experience at all of this. If they say something is wrong or your doing something wrong I personally would bow my head and learn from them they have either learned the hard way or know someone that has. I understand your young and trying to prove a point or whatever but you will never win take what these guys have to say and learn from it. Instead of getting in a fight or trying to play internet hard ass just kindly accept their advice and remember that advice before you go tearing into some mudhole next. if you like to bog that's cool it's not for everyone but hey if it makes you happy do it just try and do it as legally and with as little damage to the environment as possible. We only say this because the guys that like to trail ride are having trails shutdown because people (not pointing fingers just generalizing) go out and tear the shit out of swamps or mud holes after a good rain. DNR frown on this activity alot and is the main reason we are having our trail systems shutdown. Again not trying to be a prick but you will get alot farther on these forums or any forum if you learn from people instead of trying to start fights with them. Please use the forum for what it's for learning, experiencing, and sharing. If you actually took the time to read this and can grasp the concept the I am trying to convey to you thank you for taking the time to hear me out.

im not trying to play internet hard ass, if people had any idea on where this was, or knowledge of the area, you wouldnt be saying anything to me.

this is a legendary mud pit, thats been bogged through for years. I do, tread lightly on trails, etc... but when its been bogged through for years, im not going to care.

and, i do not get that much enjoyment out of bogging, when this suspension is done, the truck isnt going into the deep goo anymore, im building this truck to go fast and handle the back sand trails, and possibly dunes.

If all you guys care about is the enviroment and trails that are made to be used by trucks and protecting them I dont think you belong in this forum I think theirs a Ford Fiesta forum somewhere online. Give this kid some credit you should want to help out fellow wheelers not tear them apart and if you got a problem with trail usage you probably dont belong owning a lifted truck. Everyone had their first project and it takes a lot to actually do it you guys are a bunch of old overweight assholes.
