I just adjusted the links and got everything squared up and the pinion angles set correctly and got it set to 118" wb. I flexed everything out and got all 16" of travel without rubbing and had clearance for the shocks. I will be at 6'1" to the top of the "windshield" area and a belly height of 21.5". I'm glad to not have to chop anything apart to get my clearances anymore!

Here it is at ride height. I ended up cutting the front up to get clearance. I will add more tube for fenders after I get the coilovers on. Click image for larger version

not when it is done by me! it will be staying home in the barn until i get home in 6-8 months. rocksolid performance will be updating my build thread with piles of shiny new parts while i am gone. my goal is to make it to the koh next year. (to watch and wheel, not compete)

Everyone moves at their own pace. Maybe that gold chain is slowing you down. At least parts will be piling up while you're gone, keeps the anticipation high.
Sounds like a great target completion goal, great place to test your rig.
Keep up the good work.

I have been wasting tube figuring out what I want to do between the b pillar and the back of the chassis. I think I finally have a plan, I just need to grab some more tube tomorrow. Click image for larger version

Are those shocks good for the 8' lift?

The build is coming along nicely, looking good!

I'm not looking for sarcasm in this thread dammit, this 4 wheel drive stuff is serious bizinis! For your information I am doing 12" of lift and it is going to be the greatest jeep ever built.

Good points there. Looking forward to seeing the progression, certainly coming along nicely. Wouldn't expect anything less from the greatest jeep build ever.

It isn't mounted yet, it is just sitting there. I am going to try to squeeze it in there if I can but if not I will put it in the back. Gordy, one of the owners of rocksolid performance, has his mounted like that in his "brush buster" buggy and it seems to work fine. When I get the hood mocked up I will see if I have enough room.
