WTF...when are people gonna stand up against government trying to run our lives for us?? that is total bullshit. parents should make the choice to eat or not eat fast food. not the government tell the restaurants they can't sell it anymore.

This is another case of people wanting the government make the choices for them. The funny thing is most of the people in that county are against it.

I wonder if a study was done to see if the pressure by children to get a toy changed the parent's decision on whether to buy a more healthier meal.

Actually it is a case of the govrnment overstepping their boundries and forcing their will onto the people. The people showed up and said the do NOT support this government control. The government did what they wanted to anyways.

These people should be shot or hung. Ignoring the will of the people and thinking they can make day to day decisions for us is NOT acceptable.

More and more of these decisions will be made to go along with national health care. Just like the recommended age and frequency of mamograms was changed, some states proposing restrictions on the use of salt, smoking bans, and more. I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up seeing this on a federal level soon.

I think it's a good idea...but I it should just be that the toys are sold separately. That way they can drive through, get the toy without the lard, McDonald's still gets some money, but they can still get the food if they want that too.

I've been waiting a good while for them to start doing something about fat kids...for Chrissake, ONE in FOUR kids in that county is overweight/obese!!

BUT

They're going about it the wrong way.

The toy may entice the child but that child is not the one who drives there and pays for it. Fast food is still the easy conveniet way out for the parent so it will still be forced down the kids throat even if they dont want it.

Ban stupid parents to mexico.

Are you stupid? The fast food places have apple slices instead of fries. The parents still get the kids fries. It has nothing to do with the toy. It is stupid parents making bad choices on what the feed their kids.

So what next when this doesnt stop the parents from feeding them fast food? Do we put an age limit on fast food? What about the kids that eat fast food but are not overweight? Do they still get a toy?
