You are using convoluted logic to support your position. There is no mention of atomic structure in the Bible nor any theories of radioactive decay. Too bad we can prove over and over again that atoms exist and the half life of an element is very predictable.

<Rant to put things in perspective>
I still stick to what I said. We ASSUME that it's always been the way it has. Let's say that our universe is how old it is, Billions of years. Looking at how often things change, Just in our Galaxy or even Solar system, do you really think that it's been the exact way it is now this whole time? I mean, If the Big Bang theory is right then it there had to have been a State before the bang, Who's not to say it was something completely different.

Not only that, but We're also assuming everything is the exact same around the WHOLE UNIVERSE. I'm not going to get into how big that is, But it's huge. Our Solar system, in comparison, is smaller then a Spec of Dirt. Yet we make all of our assumptions, speculations, and "Guesses" based on our tiny, Insignificant, viewpoint from our planet; Inside the spec of Dirt. Sure, we've had probes go out and take pictures, Some samples, but that's it.

We can Predict only what we can observe, and in that perspective, We can't observe much at all. Sure, those ideas work on this planet, but How many studies are there to prove Carbon lasts that long on other planets? How bout Other Solar Systems? Galaxies? Universes? WHo's to say the Carbon from other planets didn't make it way onto our planet and make it appear as old as that planet. Our Planet is surrounded by planets that have been obliterated by debris. Why is it so hard to believe that our planet isn't in the same boat, It just can recover because of this Freak accident called a Ozone layer.

Our Scientists assume things are always the same. I tend to believe they are not.

</end Rant to put things into Perspective>

I do believe what I write, as truth from what I have read. I have no reason to mislead or lie to anyone. It may be difficult for you to believe because the people you know may lie cheat and steal at a drop of a hat. Maybe time to look for some new friends(buddie)

When you talk about half life, and dinosaurs being millions of years old would'nt the amount of carbon(half life) have run out of the bones from dinosuars to make them with no measurable amount of carbon to date? School me on how much "half life"(carbon)is in something like dinosaurs bones and how long it would take for the carbon to be gone.
Why is it that when measuring in terms of carbon dating the rocks in the area are measured and not the bones themselves?

Why does it make more sense to "believe" that things were different than to assume that things are the same?

Because I can look at our planet alone and see how it has changed since I've been alive. Then I Crack open the History books and see how it's changed. Then I can Listen to how the Scientists think there were ice ages, catastrophic meteors, all those indicate change. From the view of Science why would you believe the universe has always acted the same when our planet does not. That's not to say that our planet includes everything that our Universe has to offer.

I would just go on calling Christians hypocrites and fornicating and masturbating like I already do. Just because god was proven to exist does not mean anything to me because I cant believe in the church because of how supposed Christians act.
k thanks bye

Half life can go on ad infinitum. Read the information in this link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon-14

I know you hate Widipedia but the information can be found in just about any inorganic chemistry textbook.

Also, read up on what a fossil is. There is no organic material left, it has all been displaced by minerals that have leached into the cells and voids of the bone structure and hardened.

We are Hypocrites. You're seeing proof of that. We are humans trying to be perfect. Which, as you've seen, is impossible. Still not a very good Excuse.

Just as you have suggested I read the Bible to gain perspective of your views, read up on radio active decay and atomic theory before you come back swinging for the fences.

I will try and do that. It's kind of interesting being on this side of things.

I don't hate wikipedia I tend to see there interpitations lean toward evolution and I don't buy evolution.
So how long does it take for something to fossilize?
What about the dinosuars bones found in Alaska that had marrow and tissue inside the bones? How could any carbone be found let alone marrow and soft tissue if dinosaurs died off millions of years ago?

facts Thanks for giving me a laugh, Aber. If it's a manual on how to live, it's a piss poor one. How many manuals do you have to read that include parables that have to be taken "within context". What manuals set forth a bunch of rules and then nullify them halfway through? It's almost as if the bible was written by a bunch of uninformed sheep herders who were just doing the best they could.
