Default Biggest tires for a 94 Cummins?

My buddy recently purchased a 1994 Cummins and has found some good deals on larger tires but they may be too big.

If anyone knows the largest tire for the stock truck, and without trimming if possible.

Thanks,

I personally looked it up for you. 30" tire is it. Buy them at Discount tire. They usually are the best deal.

You will have to do serious trimming if you go 33's. I personally would pre-trim prior to purchase. That way once the tires get mounted you won't rub leaving the tire store. Smart huh?

Or just a 5" body lift would make them barely fit,

^doing anything with those scrapers sucks...they are just a big PITA!

I've worked on a lot of wierd shit, but I have yet to see a Cummins engine, or any other engine, with wheels and tires mounted directly to it...

285/75r16's will fit nicely (shown below). 305's and bigger will risk rubbing on the plastic inner fender.

I ran 305 16 on my 02 cummins. They would rub on the inside on the lower control arm when fully cranked other then that no problems.

Was that on the stock rims? I didn't have that happen until I got to 315/75 and I had to install a 2" levelling kit to get that size in there, anyway.

315/17r16 bolted on to my 94 1500. no lift. they rubbed a little on compression and max turn, on to the control arm. the plastic they rubbed was because it was loose on the truck.

I'm tired of you posting misleading bullshit. You were using aftermarket, low-backspaced rims. We've been through this before and it is not possible on a stock 2nd-gen - like the OP clearly stated. You can only go bigger like that on stock 3rd-gens.
