Default ecm

went to go look at a 99 1500 5.9 sport and it has a ecm issue so i got a few questions

the truck would drive for a while then shut off his mechanic told him it was a ecm issue

well the ecm his machanic told him it was bad so he unpluged the connections and pluged them in and it has been running fine there is just one problem

he said that it seem that the computer is delayed in shifting

could the ecm be affecting this

would it be worth trading my 94 explorer that is in the for sale ads for this truck even up

and would it be smart of me to put a new ecm in it

the fluid can possibly tell you alot about the condition of the trans though if its shifting bad thats doesnt mean the ecm is causing it. and if you really dont know what it is and dont know much about that kinda of thing you are just getting yourself into a vehicle you will hate and will be a money pit/ headache forever
