Default Ghetto Fab K&N Intake

Like most people these days, I have way more time than I do money, and so while searching the 'nets, I randomly came across this thread:

http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/show...&highlight=mpg

It's actually a pretty good idea for those of us who don't want to shell out $200+ for a new intake. I'm going to do this in the next week or two and I'll see how it goes. I'll try not to break the stock hardware when I take it off just in case I manage to royally fukc this up.

Any ideas as to where in GR I can find the needed parts? (filter, breather hose (mine's actually broken right now anyway) and some 3'' exhaust pipe) I'll figure it out on my own eventually, but a one-stop-shop would be nice instead of ordering this thing online.

Automasters will have all of that stuff. Call ahead and they can get the 3" exhaust pipe also.

I did something similar to that with parts from autozone...cost about 35 bucks with tax and some new bolts.....like it but don't love it....

BUT, it was easy as hell, and works flawlessly

i dunno for sure about the fords but the K&N kit on my truck is so much more than just an open filter.. the tube going from the filter to throttle body is full of ridges and baffles to reduce noise.. the K&N tube is just a smooth straight shot to the TB. 270 was kind of steep for the kit but it's paid for itself already..
