Default Port Huron area shops?

Just looking for a good, honest shop in PH. My nephew and his wife will be having a child this July and he just starting working again, so not much spending money. They have a Jeep Grand Cherokee which has and oil leak and needs the A/C fixed. They were told they needed the rear main seal replaced and a new A/C compressor. The quote for parts and labor exceeded $900.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Patrick

Is it a 4.0? If so, the rear mains seals seem to leak on almost all of them. If it isn't leaking too bad I would try a high mileage heavier weight oil. As far as the AC goes, get a shorter belt and bypass it.

Unless the compressor locked up, no need to bypass it.

I think they are looking to get the AC working though.

Not sure about the engine size, waiting on that info. I know it's a 95 Limited and they want to get the A/C fixed. They want to avoid the wind on the baby and the hot summer heat.

Thanks for the replies.
